Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

California privacy rights for TopQuotesHero (operated by Four Nine Nine Ltd).

Last updated: 18 September 2026.

This policy applies only to residents of California. It supplements our Privacy Policy and is provided under the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (together, the "CCPA"). Terms defined in the CCPA have the same meaning here.

Submit your request

Use this form to opt out of sale or sharing, to limit the use of your sensitive personal information, or to ask what we hold about you, delete it or correct it. Opt-out and limit requests are not verified: we act on them as received. You can also email contact@499group.com with the subject "Privacy request" or write to the address at the bottom of this page.

What do you want us to do?

Who we are

TopQuotesHero is a website operated by Four Nine Nine Ltd. We are not an insurance carrier or agency. When you request a quote on this site, Four Nine Nine Ltd shares your request with licensed insurance agents and partner providers you asked to hear from so they can contact you about coverage, and may be compensated for that. Under the CCPA that sharing can count as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information, which is why this page exists.

1. Your right to know

You may ask us to tell you what personal information we have collected about you, where it came from, why we collected it, and who we shared or sold it to, and to give you a copy of the specific information. This is what we handled in the preceding 12 months:

Personal information under the CCPA does not include publicly available government records or de-identified information.

2. Your right to delete

You may ask us to delete the personal information we hold about you. Use the form at the top of this page or email contact@499group.com with the subject "CCPA right to delete". Once we verify the request we delete your records from our systems, except where the law lets us keep them, for example to complete a transaction you asked for, to detect fraud, or to meet a legal obligation. We will tell you if we keep anything and why. We also notify the service providers and the third parties that received your information from us in the previous 90 days, and instruct them to delete it or to stop selling or sharing it, unless doing so is impossible or involves disproportionate effort.

3. Your right to opt out of sale or sharing

You may tell us not to sell or share your personal information. Note that submitting a quote request is itself a request that we pass your information to licensed insurance agents and partner providers so that they can contact you about coverage; if you later opt out, we stop any further sale or sharing of the information we hold, but the partners who already received it keep it under their own policies. To opt out, use the form at the top of this page, email contact@499group.com with the subject "Do not sell my information", or write to the address below. We do not need to verify who you are before acting on an opt-out. We also notify the service providers and the third parties that received your information from us in the previous 90 days, and instruct them to delete it or to stop selling or sharing it, unless doing so is impossible or involves disproportionate effort. We do not sell or share the personal information of anyone we know to be under 16.

To stop marketing messages from an insurance agent or partner provider, reply STOP to any text message, tell the agent on the call, or use the unsubscribe link in their email; those messages come from them, not from us.

4. Opt-out preference signals

We honor the Global Privacy Control signal: when your browser sends it, we treat it as a request to opt out of sale and sharing for that browser and we do not load advertising tags. If your browser sends the signal and you then submit a request form, we tell you on the form that the two conflict and ask you to confirm that you want this request sent to licensed insurance agents and partner providers; your confirmation applies to that request only, and the signal keeps applying to everything else.

5. Your right to limit the use of sensitive personal information

Some quote paths (life, final expense and health coverage) ask about your health. That is sensitive personal information under California law. We use it only to send your request to the licensed agents you asked to hear from and to keep the consent record; we do not use it to infer characteristics about you and we do not use it for advertising. We collect it only with your consent, given on the form before the question is asked; you can withdraw it by email. You may limit our use of it: use the form at the top of this page (the Limit the Use of My Sensitive Personal Information link in the footer opens it with that option selected) or email contact@499group.com with the subject "Limit sensitive information". Once we receive your request we use your sensitive personal information only for the purposes California law allows: to send the request you submitted, to keep the consent record, to secure the site and to comply with law. We tell licensed insurance agents and partner providers that received it to do the same.

6. Your right to correct

You may ask us to correct inaccurate personal information we hold about you. Tell us what is wrong and what it should be; we may ask for documentation before we change a record.

7. Non-discrimination

We will not deny you the service, charge you a different price, or provide a different level of service because you exercised any of these rights.

8. How to submit a verifiable request

Send requests to contact@499group.com or to Four Nine Nine Ltd, 3rd Floor, 86-90 Paul Street, London EC2A 4NE, United Kingdom. Requests to opt out of sale or sharing and requests to limit the use of sensitive personal information are not verified: we act on them as received, unless we have reason to believe the request is fraudulent. Requests to know, delete or correct are verified as described here. A request to know, delete or correct must give us enough to verify you are the person the information is about, and must say which of those rights you are exercising. To verify identity we match the name, email address, phone number and, if needed, the state and ZIP code you used on this site against our records. We do not ask for a Social Security number to verify a request. You may make a request to know twice in any 12-month period; requests to delete or correct have no cap.

An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf if the agent provides your signed permission and we can verify your identity directly with you.

9. When we respond

We act on opt-out and limit requests within 15 business days and tell the third parties that received your personal information in the previous 90 days to stop selling or sharing it. For requests to know, delete or correct we confirm receipt within 10 business days and answer within 45 days; if we need up to 45 more days we tell you why in writing, by email to the address you gave us.

Information held by insurance agents and partners

Once a licensed insurance agent or partner provider has received your request, it holds that information under its own privacy policy. Requests about that information should go to that company.

Residents of other states

The rights above, and the appeal process, are also available to residents of other states with consumer privacy laws; see Your privacy rights in the Privacy Policy.
